There Are No Regrets

I waited a long time before purchasing this item but, despite that, I have not been disappointed with the quality of the item, or its performance.It is smaller than other bain marie's I have owned and only just sits on the gas hob, but it is adequate for my needs. It would be worth measuring the diameter of the smallest opening if it is to be used on a gas hob though, just in case it is too small for your own (The pan has a diameter of only 12 cm). It is definitely a high quality item though and consists of a copper saucepan base with a ceramic insert that has a copper handled ring to lift it away from the base. A lid completes the item. It is solidly built and feels as though it will last easily for my lifetime. And it is also the best bain marie of the number I have used previously.The copper has a lovely deep gleam, although some effort needs to be applied to keep it that way in use. In fact that's the only real downside; the amount of polishing that will be needed to keep it looking shiny over the years. It feels as though it is built to last a lifetime - I just hope I don't break the ceramic bowl; or run out of copper polish....

This beautiful Copper Double Boiler, is just the most delightful object to have on display in your Kitchen,gleaming Copper and white Ceramic insert inside, with charming lid and two handles. Gorgeous!Excelent for showing off, I don't know any one with a saucepan that looks this posh, or for serious cooks who need the BEST Highly reommend. Th only thing is the photo on Amazone shows Two Lids but I only got one in the post when it arrived
