Nice approach, but far from perfect

First, please apologize my bad English, I am not a native english speaker, I am German. I have recently ordered one of these machines and tried it with different teas. This machine is not cheap and therefore I was expecting quite a lot. I was actually very happy with my Cloer tea making machine, but I really liked the idea of having different programs with different timing and temperatures for different teas and tastes.The brochure and even the helpline tells that proper temperature can range from 60 to 95 degrees, depending on tea and taste. How true that is! Unfortunately there are only programs for either 95 or 70 degrees, NOTHING between. Also the timing is tied to the so called programs and there is NO manual setting. There is a range of teas NEEDING 80 degrees like the China White Yin Zhen Silver Needle and you just cannot brew this one with 70 or 95 degrees.This means, if your are unhappy with the available 7 programs for whatever reason - bad luck, no way to change them. No manual setting of timing or temperature.Of course you can use a 95 degree program and do not put all the water into the heating chamber and instead fill some cold water directly into the infusion chamber before starting the machine. This way you get some lower temperatures in the infusion chamber, but that's really odd.Conclusion: If you find a program and a tea producing a result of your taste, this machine is really not bad. If you don't, you'll be in trouble and have to choose your tea according to the programs of the machine and that is just no option for me.There are also some reviews on amazon.com giving some more not always good impressions. Might be worth a look...

IQ Innovations Fine T Tea Machine

I have now had this machine for some months and have nothing but praise for it. It looks good and works beautifully with all kinds of tea. I use mine mainly for a morning cup of tea using Twinnings Breakfast Tea on programme 2. The tea is beautifully made and infused and does not become stewed if left on the hotplate as the leaves are left in the infuser. The only minor criticism is that you have to push the go button several times to confirm programme, "water filled", "tea filled" and "start now" every time you operate the tea-maker. The design of the teapot also can lead to spills if you are not very careful how you pour the tea.

does not make white tea

Only two temperature settings. Does not cater properly for green or white tea. Brews at 10 degrees less than their literatures says is the optimum temperature for white tea. It only offers 70 or 95 temp options. A waste of money as the tea tastes lifless. Better with a kettle.
